Not everyone can afford the price tag of a top-tier luxury car, but luckily, there are plenty of entry-level luxury cars available on the market. Part of owning a luxury model is about comfort and performance, but another part is simply about displaying the badge of a luxury model.
Entry-level luxury cars typically offer peppy, well-rounded performance with a luxury nameplate and upgraded interiors. Take a look at the following entry-level cars and their prices for 2019.
1. BMW 2-series
There’s no denying that BMW has a reputation as a luxury brand, so getting a two-door coupe with rear-wheel drive and a no-cost, optional manual transmission for around $36,000 feels like a great deal. The base 2-series has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with turbocharging to give it extra pep. The 2-series also offers a convertible version.
2. Audi Q3
Another crossover, the new Q3 features a sleek profile and attractive LED lighting. An upgraded interior provides additional luxury while the chassis gets by on standard front-wheel drive with an optional four-wheel-drive system. The standard engine is a 228 horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder, and the standard price is $35,695.
3. Mercedes-Benz A-class
The A-class starts at just under $34,000 and is one of the smallest models in the current Mercedes inventory. Despite its size and almost-roadster appearance, the A-class offers four doors, a premium interior, and an upgraded infotainment system. The standard engine is a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder.
4. Audi A3
The A3 is another four-door sedan that retails for just under $34,000. It features a sleek Audi style, a modern cabin, a convertible option, and two engine choices. The regular 2.0-liter will get you 184 horsepower, while the turbo version will get you 228.
5. Alfa Romeo Giulia
Venerable European car brands often indicate luxury just with their names. This ultra-modern sports sedan offers a turbocharged four-cylinder, eight-speed automatic, quick handling, and sleek interior. The price point is just under $40,000.
